Ivan D. George

	Ivan D. George, 60, of Tamaroa, passed away at 9:50 p.m. June 19, 2001 at the Tamaroa Cemetery railroad crossing when his car was struck by an Amtrack train.
	Ivan was a farmer and a member of Tamaroa First Baptist Church.
	Ivan was born January 10, 1941 at Tamaroa, the son of Harold and Norma (Presswood) George.  He married Kathryn K. Morrow on July 2, 1960 at Tamaroa and she preceded him in death on December 8, 2000.
	He is survived by his mother- Norma George of Tamaroa; four children- Greg George and wife Jane of Tamaroa, Mike George of Tamaroa, Donna Kassel and husband Kirk of OFallon, Patricia Wyciskalla and husband Steve of Tamaroa; two brothers- Harold (Townie) George of Tamaroa, Marvin George of DuQuoin; two sisters- Peggy Koenegstein of Tamaroa, Connie Prusacki of Tamaroa; grandchildren- Jeremy, Amy, Sidney and Kyle George, Michaela Valentine, Mason Kassel, Caleb and Katie Brasche, step-grandchildren- Robbie, Tabitha and Doug Ticer, Kasie Wyciskalla.
	He was preceded in death by his father, wife, sister- Donnie Morgan, grandson- John Robert George.
	Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 22 at the First Baptist Church in Tamaroa with Rev. Raymond Baggott officiating.
	Friends called from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
	Interment was in the Tamaroa Cemetery.
	Friends may make memorials to the First Baptist Church of Tamaroa.
